eBook
During the holidays my sister and brother-in-law gifted me with a Kindle Fire. I immediately downloaded research material and novels I have been wanting to read for a long time.
The feel was right as I held the Kindle Fire in my hand. It has the size and feel of a book. Impressive. The back-lighting of the device made it possible to read without much lighting—almost none.
With a red leather cover inscribed with the names of cities and places the world over in perfect penmanship, I felt that I held an almost priceless object in my hand. As I made myself comfortable in a dark brown leather easy chair, the novel I was reading first captured my attention, and I became imbibed in life in a distant place through another novelist's eyes—and maybe not even the author's eyes, but those of the novelist's narrator or character.
Yes, the eBook suits me fine. Having moved libraries of books from one country to another, and from across this country as well, with a $10,000.00 hernia operation to show for it as well, eBook suits me just fine. Enjoy the Kindle Fire! The benefits are many. It is well worth the time and money.
