Authoritarianism to the Max

Yesterday I dared to try to comment on the blogs of The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, and did quite successfully, as long as I played the submissive, puckering smooch planter on the virtual derriere of an apparent pre-1950s 20th century authoritarian moderator(s).

From the beginning, it did not go well. When I signed in as Darian Land, my first post on Dr. Carr’s blog was put in queue for review, and that is where it stayed. It never appeared again. The posting thanked Dr. Carr for his public service on explaining the Affordable Care Act. (I added it again that afternoon. Surprisingly, it did not get reviewed again.)

I then went to Carol Morgan’s blog, where I posted that I, too, was against any aggression against Syria on our part, and to leave any action to the United Nations to resolve. No problem here. The posting was accepted.

With a dare, I went to the extreme conservative blog called Mr. Conservative. This is the blogger whose only theme is “I hate Obama” and whose headline on 09/11/2013 was Putin Plays Obama For a Fool. Then his very first sentence to start his subject   Putin has succeeded in making Obama appear to be weak and a fool in dealing with Syria.  His blog topic went all downhill from there.

Anyone who has followed the Mr. Conservative blog for a while is no longer surprised at the total negativity offered the President of the United States. I daringly suggested that his entire blog be pulled for 09/11/2013. Not to my surprise, since the moderator(s) apparently does/do not respect the first amendment right of free speech, my moniker Darian Land was blocked and all Darian Land postings on the Mr. Conservative blog were pulled. Never fear though. See the screenshots below.

Readers, do America a favor and go to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal page on Facebook here and leave the newspaper a message. Let them know you would appreciate it if they respected everybody’s first amendment and the right of free speech, with no special considerations to those of extreme right persuasions.
